Manufacturing Engineer at a Global Automotive Assembly in Phnom Penh (Open for Expatriate)

  • Responsible manage all quality-related issues within the manufacturing team

  • Up to 3,500 USD plus expat package

The Role

The is an ideal role for individual who has strong manufacturing engineering background in automotive assembly production. Will work as a key member of production team and report to Factory Manager.

Description

  • Manage and work as a key member of the production team, the role will ensure all product and system requirements are considered from the initial product conception to the finished result

  • Study & identify the manufacturing process needs for new components or new products

  • Design systems, processes, facilities & methods to ensure the cost-effective assembly operations

  • Assist with shop floor layout and cell designs

  • Design fixtures and tooling for assembly processes

  • Generate production documentation such as assembly instructions

  • Reduce variability in manufacturing by providing standard work methods and work instructions

  • Support the tender process for equipment to ensure the best quality for best price

  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning workflow, space requirements and equipment layout

  • Prepare FMEAs, process documentation and implement improvements

  • Investigate production and process issues providing technical support and training

  • Coordinate with overseas mother plan for ECN, tooling changes, resolving process issues etc.

  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems

  • Product written reports and make presentations

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in handling similar roles within automotive manufacturing

  • Good understanding of engineering drawings, Auto-Cad

  • Comprehensive knowledge of automotive assembly line planning, standards, QMS, layout, tooling, and processes

  • Strong English Communication Skills
