The Challenge
The bank was planning to establish Trustee Business Services, a new function under their organization. Cambodia’s trustee framework is still evolving compared to more developed markets, requiring careful legal structuring and regulatory compliance.
To launch this service, they needed a Chief Investment Leadership Position with:
- Deep experience with central banks, financial regulators, and corporate governance standards
- Proven investment expertise and leadership in regulated financial environments
- Exposure to emerging markets and cross-border financial operations
Given the niche requirements and the limited availability of such senior talent in Cambodia, securing a suitable candidate locally was highly challenging.
Our Approach
MyWorld took a strategic, targeted approach rather than a broad search:
- Conducted a deep analysis of the client’s strategic objectives, growth stage, and regulatory needs
- Defined a focused senior candidate profile aligned with the bank’s fiduciary and investment requirements
- Executed a confidential executive search, leveraging regional networks to identify passive, high-caliber candidates
- Assessed candidates’ regulatory expertise, investment leadership, and cross-border experience before submission
This approach ensured that only candidates who fully met the client’s stringent requirements were introduced, minimizing time wasted and maintaining confidentiality.
