The Challenge
The client was seeking to hire a Finance & Admin Supervisor to support its operations in Indonesia. Despite working with local recruitment agencies for an extended period, the position remained unfilled.
The challenge was not only finding candidates with the right finance and administrative expertise, but also identifying professionals who understood the operational realities of an industrial and manufacturing environment. In addition, the role was based outside Jakarta, which further reduced the available talent pool and made sourcing suitable candidates more difficult.
As MyWorld's core markets are Myanmar, Cambodia, and Laos, this assignment also required us to successfully execute a search in a market where we did not have a direct physical presence.
Our Approach
To overcome these challenges, MyWorld adopted a targeted and structured recruitment strategy.
Rather than conducting a broad search, we focused on identifying candidates with relevant experience in manufacturing, industrial, and engineering-related sectors who were already located within the same region as the client's operations.
Our consultants conducted detailed screening and assessment processes to evaluate candidates against the client's technical requirements, leadership expectations, and cultural fit. Throughout the search, we provided transparent feedback on each candidate's strengths, development areas, and overall suitability, enabling the client to make informed hiring decisions.
By combining industry understanding with a disciplined recruitment process, we were able to deliver a high-quality shortlist despite operating outside our primary markets.
