Description

• Develop a market entry roadmap, identifying business opportunities for the inland logistics portfolio

• Lead the setup and full operations of a new container depot facility

• Manage operations of a depot, including container handling & maintenance, warehousing, customs coordination, and trucking arrangements

• Drive strategic planning, infrastructure development, team building, and operational excellence

• Achieve financial, commercial, operational, safety, and service goals

• Coordinate with regulatory bodies, contractors, and vendors for construction, utilities, and licensing

• Lead, train, and motivate a multidisciplinary team including operations, maintenance, administration, and security

• Ensure the rapid scale-up of the depot, attracting more container volumes from different shipping lines

• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity, throughput, and service quality levels

• Ensure full compliance with international and local regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements

• Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders: shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs authorities, trucking companies, and government agencies

• Drive commercial growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding inland service offerings

• Prepare and manage budgets, monitor KPIs, and oversee financial performance

• Oversee infrastructure development and ensure optimal use of depot assets and equipment

• Represent the depot in public forums, trade events, and with external partners as needed

• Setup container handling processes, SOPs, and HSSE protocols

• Ensure high productivity, safety, and cost control across yard and admin

• Monitor KPIs: turnaround time, storage utilization, cost per TEU, service uptime

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport, Business Administration, or related field

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in logistics, depot/port/terminal operations, or freight management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role

• IICL certification is preferred

• Proven experience setting up or expanding logistics operations projects in the Southeast Asia region

• Familiarity with DMS/TOS, container survey, reefer operations, and safety compliance
