Public Affairs Manager at a Multinational Organization in Phnom Penh

The Role

Responsible to develop and implement internal and external communication strategies to effectively convey the company's messages and initiatives.

  • Building and maintaining relationships with government officials, industry associations, and regulatory bodies.

  • Monitoring and analysing legislative and regulatory developments that may impact the company's operations.

  • Advocating for the company's interests and participating in industry-related events and forums.

  • Developing crisis communication plans and protocols to effectively manage and respond to potential crises or issues that may arise.

  • Developing and implementing community engagement programs and initiatives to support the company's corporate social responsibility efforts.

  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders to ensure their support and alignment with the company's goals and values.

  • Working closely with the marketing team to ensure consistent messaging and brand representation across all communication channels.

  • Monitoring and analysing brand perception and reputation and implementing strategies to enhance brand awareness and loyalty.

  • Keeping abreast of industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.

  • Providing insights and recommendations to the management team based on industry analysis and market intelligence.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field

  • Previous experience in public relations, corporate communications, or government relations is required.

  • Familiarity with the F&B industry, including an understanding of industry trends, regulations, and challenges, is beneficial.

  • The ability to effectively convey ideas, instructions, and feedback to team members, stakeholders, and media outlets is crucial.

  • Strong relationships with government officials, media outlets, industry associations, and other stakeholders.

  • Experience in crisis management and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.

  • Native Khmer and Business English are required.
