Job Description

Assistant HR and Admin Manager at a Leading Recruitment Agency in Phnom Penh

  • Salary between $1,000 - $1,500

  • Reporting Manager - COO and Country Director

The Role

Responsible for the smooth operations of the company for both internal and external HR issues for the company and its clients

Key Areas of Responsibility: 

  • Responsible for 100% accurate salary calculation for internal and client’s salaries, tax and NSSF

  • Liaise with local authorities including tax, NSSF, and labour offices

  • Contributing payment at Tax on Salary, NSSF, and dealing with government officers

  • Ensuring full compliance with the Cambodia labour law and providing advice for both internal and external use

  • Liaising with the finance team to issue invoices and transfer salaries to bank accounts

  • Preparing pay slips and distributing salaries to all employees on time

  • Work with the internal recruitment team to source suitable employees to grow the company

  • Responsible for the overall quality system in the HR department of the Cambodia operation

  • Updating leave databases, such as sick, casual, and annual leaves of both internal and client’s employees

  • Handle all administrative activities to ensure the smooth operation of the business, including, but not limited to procurement, dealing with real estate vendors, dealing with local suppliers

  • Participate in administrative and operational staff meetings and attend other meetings as required

  • Generating monthly reports

  • Provide training for junior HR and payroll staff

  • Conducting effective onboarding orientation

  • Plan, organize and manage all activities of the Payroll Operations Team handling the Cambodia Clients

  • Collecting and keeping records of clients’ data

  • Supporting client inquiries related to Cambodia Labour Law and other employment-related issues

  • Preparing employment contracts for both internal and client employees

  • Performing off-boarding process for both internal and client-resigned employees

  • Building strong relationships with all the government offices related to the company

Other Responsibilities:

  • Continuously look at existing processes and operations and implement ongoing improvements to increase the efficiency of operations

  • Manage general office duties such as Petty Cash, payment of local invoices, purchasing of equipment required for the office

  • Performing ad-hoc duties assigned by Group COO and Country Director

Requirements

  • Must have 4-5 years of professional experience in handling HR tasks in a supervisory or managerial level

  • Good command of English is a must

  • Strong computer literacy and ability to use Excel and type more than 40 words per minute

  • Detailed-oriented, flexible and responsible personality

  • Highly focused on teamwork
