The Role

Responsible for securing the compliance of business operations with relevant laws and regulations and setting the strategy and goals for the Legal team in alignment with the larger organizational goals

Description

• Developing and leading corporate legal strategy to promote and protect the company's matters

• Developing and leading internal audit and corporate compliance programs

• Drafting and reviewing contracts such as leases, licenses, mergers, acquisitions, and more

• Working with the Executive Committee to advance organizational policies, procedures, and business strategy through sound legal advice

• Establishing company-wide processes for identifying and analysing emerging and inherent risks facing the company; establishing a process for reporting on risks to the Executive Committee

• Drafting new and reviewing existing contracts and agreements relating to the group’s operational activities, both internally and externally

Requirements

• 20+ years of general counsel, legal affairs, and compliance experience, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role

• Bachelor's Degree in Law with strong academic qualifications

• Native Khmer and Business English are required

• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to lead and work with teams

• Strong organisational skills to operate effectively in a fast-moving and dynamic environment
