Job Description
Public Affairs Manager at an International company in Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Support the development and execution of public affairs and sustainability initiatives, ensuring alignment with Danone’s corporate strategy and contributing insights to support management decision-making

The Role
The Public Affairs Manager will lead the company’s external affairs and stakeholder engagement initiatives. This role will focus on building strong relationships with government authorities, industry associations, and key opinion leaders, while monitoring regulatory developments that could impact the business

Description
Develop and implement the company’s public affairs and government relations strategy in line with business objectives
Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, policymakers, NGOs, and industry associations
Monitor and analyze regulatory, political, and social developments that may impact the business; provide timely advice to senior management
Represent the company at industry forums, government meetings, and public events
Draft position papers, policy briefs, and reports to communicate the company’s stance on relevant public policy issues
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with local regulations and proactively manage risks related to government policies
Advise on corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives and public communication strategies
Manage external communications related to government relations, advocacy campaigns, and public affairs programs
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Law, Communications, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus
Minimum 5 years of experience in government relations, public affairs, or corporate communications, preferably in an international company
Strong understanding of Cambodia’s regulatory and political landscape
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
Proven ability to build networks and engage with high-level government officials and stakeholders
Ability to work independently, strategically, and manage multiple priorities
Fluency in English and Khmer is required
