​Project Manager for M&E Engineering Firm in Phnom Penh, Cambodia

The Role

This senior role is responsible for managing complex automation and telecommunication projects from start to finish, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with subcontractors and consultants, and implement robust project management practices to ensure success across all phases of the works

Description

  • Plan, manage, and monitor all aspects of EMS, SCADA, DMS, telecommunication, automation, and smart metering projects

  • Develop and maintain project budgets, control expenses, and optimize resource allocation to maximize margins

  • Track project progress, prepare monthly technical and financial reports, and proactively address delays or risks

  • Ensure designs, installations, and commissioning comply with specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations

  • Coordinate project activities with subcontractors, consultants, and other trades such as civil, architectural, and interior works

  • Review technical drawings and documentation, communicate requirements to subcontractors, and propose value engineering solutions

  • Lead, mentor, and train project teams, ensuring productivity, professional growth, and adherence to health and safety standards

  • Liaise with local authorities to secure necessary approvals and ensure regulatory compliance

  • Attend technical, commercial, and coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and internal teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (automation or telecommunication preferred)

  • 10 to 15 years of experience managing automation or telecommunication projects; experience with commercial/mixed-use projects is a plus

  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and deliver results

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and cultures

  • Flexible, resilient, and committed to high-quality project delivery
