The Role

Responsible to assist the Principal and oversee school daily activities. The Vice Principal needs to engage with other staff members, students, as well as parents.

Description

• Participate in selection, interviewing and recruitment of new teachers

• Notify the Principal immediately, where there is evidence of substance abuse, child abuse, child neglect, severe medical or social condition, potential suicide, or student appearing to be under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance

• The vice principal is responsible for the academic quality of the primary and secondary academic material

• The vice principal often chooses the text and materials that will use for each class

• Liaise with various departments and forwarding any issues or suggestions to the principal

• Assist to implement student orientation and registration activities

• Assist to define and disseminate information about the school’s disciplinary policies and procedure to parents, students, staff and community

Requirements

• At least 5 years of teaching experience and 2 years at the management level

• Fluent English is a must and prefer Native Khmer

• Tertiary Qualification in Educational Leadership

• A high degree of professionalism

• The ability to follow instructions but also come up with original ideas
