Description
- Assemble and install electrical components and systems, including control panels, power supplies, circuit breakers, transformers, motors, sensors, switches, and safety devices
- Carry out wiring, terminal crimping, cable and connector installation, labeling, grounding, and secure mounting of electrical components
- Complete pre-power checks to verify electrical connections, protection devices, safety circuits, continuity, and grounding before equipment is energized
- Perform electrical configuration and adjustment according to approved work instructions, including protection settings, thermal settings, control devices, and input/output systems
- Support initial power-on activities and verify voltage levels, phase sequence, startup behavior, alarms, and electrical system performance
- Check the operation and rotation of motors, fans, pumps, and other electrically controlled auxiliary equipment
- Test emergencies stop circuits, safety interlocks, door switches, foot switches, control switches, indicator lamps, and other safety-related functions
- Verify sensor feedback, motor or axis signals, status indications, alarms, and warning systems during equipment operation
- Record electrical settings, inspection results, and pass/fail outcomes accurately in quality and inspection documentation
- Identify wiring errors, loose connections, signal loss, abnormal alarms, sensor faults, and other electrical issues and escalate them for corrective action
- Conduct re-checks following repairs or adjustments to confirm that electrical systems meet required standards before moving to the next production stage
- Follow electrical safety procedures, including lock-out and verification requirements, while maintaining clean and organized work areas
Requirements
- NITEC, Higher NITEC, Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field; equivalent hands-on electrical assembly experience will also be considered
- Practical experience in electrical assembly, electrical installation, or equipment wiring
- Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams, electrical drawings, and technical work instructions
- Comfortable performing electrical checks, configuration, and adjustments
- Able to use basic electrical measurement tools such as a multimeter
- Good understanding of electrical safety, grounding, protection devices, and safe working practices
- Experience working with precision or industrial equipment is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail with a disciplined and methodical approach to work
- High safety awareness and commitment to quality standards
- Reliable team player who can follow structured procedures and work effectively with others
