Job Description

​Internal Control Manager at an International Retail Company in Phnom Penh

  • Oversee financial reporting, manage budgets, ensure compliance with regulations, coordinate audits, lead the finance team, prepare monthly reports, and analyze financial data for strategic planning

The Role

This role requires overseeing daily financial operations, managing cash flow, improving operational efficiency, preparing detailed financial reports for management, analysing variances, and assisting in forecasting

Descriptions

  • Manage financial operations across multiple countries, ensure compliance with local laws, and optimize financial performance

  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations, conduct risk assessments, and implement internal controls

  • Develop long-term financial strategies, oversee capital budgeting processes, and provide financial insights to executives

  • Coordinate with external auditors, prepare for audits, and ensure accurate reporting of financial data

  • Manage tax compliance and reporting, optimize tax strategies, and liaise with tax authorities

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, monitor budget performance, and provide variance analysis

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is essential

  • A master’s degree or relevant professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are highly preferred

  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 2-5 years in a managerial position

  • Familiarity with international accounting standards (GAAP or IFRS) and local regulations is crucial

  • Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with local tax laws

  • Strong knowledge of financial software systems and tools; familiarity with ERP systems is advantageous

  • Proficiency in English and Khmer is often required to effectively communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders
