Tax Specialist at a Leading International Logistics Company in Phnom Penh, Cambodia

• Responsible for planning and controlling overall tax process of the organization  
• Up to USD 1,500 + other allowances 

The Role

You will be responsible for managing day-to-day tax compliance and supporting accurate tax reporting for the Cambodia business. You will work closely with the Finance team and relevant stakeholders to ensure timely tax filings, proper documentation, and compliance with local tax requirements.

Description

• Prepare and support monthly and annual tax declarations and ensure timely submission in accordance with Cambodian tax regulations
• Handle tax compliance matters including VAT, withholding tax, tax on salary, and other applicable taxes
• Maintain accurate tax records, supporting documents, reconciliations, and schedules for reporting and audit purposes
• Support tax audits and liaise with tax authorities, external tax advisers, and auditors when required
• Monitor updates to Cambodian tax laws and regulations and communicate relevant changes to the Finance team
• Work closely with Accounting and Finance teams to ensure tax treatments and transactions are properly recorded and compliant
• Assist with statutory reporting, tax-related analysis, and other finance or compliance matters as required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Business Administration, or a related field
• Relevant experience in tax, accounting, audit, or a similar finance role
• Good knowledge of Cambodian taxation and statutory compliance requirements
• Strong attention to detail with good analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Good command of English and Khmer
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems is an advantage
