Air Logistics Manager at a Leading Global Logistics Company in Phnom Penh

• A newly created role in the company's restructured Cambodia operation. You will own air import and export operations end to end, with the opportunity to build and lead your own team from next year
• Salary up to 1,600 USD per month

The Role

Our client is looking for a hands-on air freight professional who is ready to step up from team lead or supervisor level into a management role. The ideal candidate knows air import and export operations inside out, reviews documents with a sharp eye, and is just as comfortable at the airport terminal and warehouse as at the desk. Working independently as a standalone lead, they communicate confidently in English with a regional manager, solve problems quickly and keep customers' shipments moving on time

Description

• Manage end-to-end coordination of air import and export shipments, ensuring on-time, accurate and cost-efficient service delivery
• Review and verify shipment documentation, and work closely with the appointed customs agent to ensure smooth and compliant clearance
• Stay hands-on at the airport terminal and warehouse, working with airlines, ground handlers and internal teams to resolve operational issues quickly
• Monitor service performance and costs, support pricing and customer requirements, and drive continuous improvement in line with company standards and local regulations
• Reporting line: Head of Air Logistics (regional, based in Bangkok)

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in air freight operations, including time as a team lead or supervisor at an international freight forwarder or airline/ground handling company
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or a related field
• Very good spoken and written English, plus fluent Khmer
• Strong hands-on knowledge of air import and export documents (AWB, invoices, packing lists, customs paperwork), with the ability to work independently and the potential to lead a team
