The Role

Exciting opportunity for an experienced freight-forwarding professional to establish and grow a new Cambodia branch through operational leadership, sea freight export expertise, customer development, team management, and financial control.

Our client is a leading international freight-forwarding and logistics company with an established operating network across Asia and strong global partnerships. The company is expanding its operations in Cambodia to support customers, overseas partners, and regional trade flows.

Description

• Establish and manage the new Phnom Penh branch, developing practical operating procedures, internal controls, reporting routines, and performance standards
• Lead and develop the local team, allocate responsibilities, coach employees, and build a dependable, customer-focused service culture
• Manage end-to-end FCL and LCL sea freight export operations, including bookings, cargo planning, shipping instructions, VGM, bills of lading, export documentation, customs coordination, trucking, port cut-offs, pre-alerts, document release, and invoicing
• Coordinate with customers, shippers, carriers, NVOCCs, customs brokers, truckers, terminals, overseas offices, and local service providers
• Manage customer escalations, claims, and service failures, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
• Provide regular operational, commercial, and financial reports to regional management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent practical experience will also be considered
• Minimum 7 years of experience in international freight forwarding or logistics, with strong experience in sea freight export operations
• Thorough knowledge of FCL and LCL export processes, carrier bookings, export documentation, bills of lading, customs coordination, trucking, and port operations
• Previous experience leading a small operations team or working as an Operations Team Leader, Supervisor, or similar role
• Fluent Khmer and strong professional English, both spoken and written; Mandarin or other additional language skills are an advantage
