Data & Reporting Supervisor at International Insurance Company in Phnom Penh

• Responsible for developing and maintaining business intelligence dashboards, analyzing complex datasets, and delivering actionable insights to support strategic business decisions
• Up to 1,000 USD plus other allowances

An excellent opportunity for a data and reporting professional with experience in Power BI, DAX, SQL, data visualization, and business intelligence to support business functions and management across Cambodia and Myanmar.

My client is a leading insurance and financial services group serving customers across Asia and other international markets. 

The Role

• Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business decisions
• Develop, maintain, and optimize dashboards and reports using Power BI and other business intelligence and visualization tools
• Build and analyze complex, integrated data models using information from ERP, CRM, enterprise data warehouses (EDW), and other data sources
• Collaborate with business departments and IT teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver solutions aligned with business objectives
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity by maintaining data quality standards, including data cleaning, validation, and regular updates
• Write, tune, and optimize complex SQL queries to improve database performance and reporting efficiency
• Automate data collection and reporting processes while continuously exploring new BI tools and technologies
• Manage BI projects from initiation to completion, ensuring project scope, timelines, deliverables, and budgets are met
• Monitor the performance of BI initiatives against key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify opportunities for continuous improvement

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience designing and developing reports and data visualization dashboards using Power BI, DAX, and other reporting tools
• Strong experience writing complex SQL queries and analyzing data across databases such as SQL Server, DB2, Couchbase, MySQL, Oracle, and SQLite
• Strong analytical skills, attention to data quality, and the ability to translate business requirements into meaningful reports and insights
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Ability to collaborate effectively with globally distributed, cross-functional teams
