Plant Manager at a Global Automotive Leader in Pursat, Cambodia

The Role

A senior leadership position responsible for managing end-to-end plant operations in Cambodia. This includes production, safety, cost management, and people development while driving continuous improvement and alignment with global standards

Description

  • Provide overall leadership and management of the manufacturing plant in Pursat

  • Develop and execute operational strategies to achieve productivity, quality, and cost targets

  • Ensure all production activities comply with global standards, customer requirements, and local regulations

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in production, maintenance, and supply chain efficiency

  • Oversee safety programs, ensuring a strong EHS culture across the facility

  • Manage plant budgets, financial forecasts, and operational KPIs

  • Lead, mentor, and develop plant leadership and operations teams to achieve performance excellence

  • Coordinate with corporate functions on production planning, quality assurance, and engineering upgrades

  • Build strong relationships with external stakeholders including government agencies and suppliers

  • Ensure smooth execution of new product launches and technology transfers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical field; Master’s degree preferred

  • Minimum 12–15 years of experience in automotive or related manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a plant leadership role

  • Proven track record in production management, cost control, and continuous improvement

  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and global automotive quality standards (IATF16949, ISO9001, etc.)

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

  • Fluency in English required; additional regional languages are an advantage
