​​Gateway Manager at Global Market Leader in International Express Delivery Business in Cambodia

  • Responsible for managing the express operation in line with profitability and cost effectiveness

The Role

The ideal candidate's background for the role comes with strong experience in handling express operation or transportation operation, particularly handling around 90 headcounts operation, great experience in handling customer complaints, strong understanding of custom formality and hands on experience dealing with custom officers

Description

  • Based on the operations strategy, plans management of day-to-day volume in line with profitability and cost effectiveness

  • Arrange the movement of freight by various transportation methods in the most profitable way

  • Monitor daily operating plans and allocate resources as necessary

  • Ensure compliance with safety, security, regulatory, and company policies

  • Drive continuous improvement of operational processes and procedures to maximize productivity

  • Manage the Gateway operating budget and proposals for investments in infrastructure, technology, equipment, systems, and other resources at Gateway level

  • Balanced service and quality targets with productivity & effectiveness initiatives

  • Liaise within organization to co-ordinate transport and distribution schedules to meet the agreed delivery times

  • Convince others in the organization to accept operational solutions and changes

  • Plan and implement Gateway facilities, equipment and infrastructure in accordance with regional guidelines and local requirements

  • Implement Gateway projects to address regional and network imperatives and programs

  • Develop KPIs with team members and monitor individual performance

  • Identify training needs and career development opportunities to drive a high-performance team

  • Prepare and present training classes and informative instructions to employees

  • Other tasks as assigned by manager

Requirements

  • Bachelor / master’s degree in Logistic and Supply Chain Management, Law or related field is required

  • 5-8 years’ operations experience in a similar leadership role, preferably within transportation or logistics industry, with strong hands-on experience in managing large headcount operations and custom dealing

  • Fluent Speaking/Reading/Writing of English is required

  • Good Computer Skills

  • Strong Leadership Skills with people management

  • Ability to work under pressure
